The model was built to depict Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat No. 03417/White 19, VF-10, USS Enterprise flown by Lt. Stanley W. “Swede” Vejtasa during the Battle of Santa Cruz in October 1942.
It was built out of the box except for the use of Print Scale 1/48 Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat & Martlet Aces decals and the Edward EX092 Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat Paint Mask (Tamiya) to mask the canopy.
Finishing was accomplished using Tamiya acrylic paints.
